CASS 2003 This years rally had good weather for the better part of the weekend, with just a little drizzle on Sunday that passed quickly. Oh well a least the poncho’s got used a little, maybe we started a good thing by giving these out. This year we again gave away a fine Belstaff jacket, not to bad for a club that borders on 8 to 10 members. We know that most people attending would do so just to meet with old friends, to enjoy the wonderful scenery and ride the fabulous roads that the Potomac Highlands has to offer but we try to offer more to say "Thanks" for all the support. We ran into a little trouble with the music, the one we thought was coming had other obligations and it’s rather hard to find a D.J. in this area on such short notice but thanks to Frank and Susie Murphy we found one at the last moment. Saturday evening started out with the excellent dinner then the awards ceremony. After the awards the dancing and B.S. session’s got into full swing and continued till the early morning. We also celebrated Kenny Mallow’s birthday who just happens to be our Honorable Rally Foreman and Chief Chili cook. We wish you many more Kenny and always look forward to the waves we get every time we pull into the campground, you truly make everyone feel right at home. Keep up the good work. Again this year we ended up giving $1000.00 dollars in presents to underprivileged kids for Christmas. Some of the kids had ask for bike which we got and thanks to the Parkersburg Police the kids all had helmets to match their new bikes. This is all possible because of you our friends that we have met through our passion of riding and in particular riding BMW motorcycles. We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you again in 2004. Keep safe. |
